ORDER PROCESSING & SHIPPING
please allow up to 5 business days for order processing. all orders ship from berlin, germany using DHL, providing a tracking number upon shipment, insured at their commercial value. customers placing an international order are responsible for paying import duties and taxes, as determined by the destination country. mohlagé is not liable for shipments once the order is in possession of the courier service. please direct any subsequent delivery questions or concerns to DHL.
At the moment i’m only offering shipping to EU countries. if you want to order from outside if the EU please get in touch via the contact form.
pricing is mostly determined by the current DHL fees: within germany = 7 euros, rest of europe = 17 euros.
if you’re located in berlin, you can choose the free local pick up option when checking out. i will get in touch via the provided e-mail afterwards to discuss the details.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
all items are made in-house in my one-woman-studio in berlin. some garments are made-to-order, please allow up to four weeks for production and shipping. if you have any specific requests for a made-to-order garment, please reach out before placing an order via the contact form to discuss the details. please be aware that not every adjustment is possible to implement. almost all items are made from pre-existing or hand-processed materials which may show signs of wear or variation, including stains and discolouration. any such discrepancies are considered unique characteristics of the materials used and shall be further entrenched into the new garment.
RETURNS
i hope you love everything you’ve ordered on mohlagé.com, but i’m also aware that this isn’t always the case.
if you are not satisfied with a product, you have the chance to return it within fourteen (14) days after delivery date. please contact me beforehand in the event of a return and send me a message using the contact form.
please note following terms for a return:
the products were only tried to check the right size, but they must not have been used or laundered. the product is in the undamaged original packing (a carefully opened package is not considered as damaged).
the product is complete (including all labels). a filled return–form is included.
returns harm the environment, are expensive and lead to higher shipping costs. packaging can’t be reused again in most cases and unnecessary carbon emissions through another shipment will be produced. therefore, mohlagé doesn’t bear the costs for a return. please consider all of that before placing an order. the refund can take up to fourteen (14) days upon receipt of your package.
USAGE OF LEATHER
mohlagé stands for treating our environment and all living creatures with respect and dignity, therefore not supporting animal abuse by buying new leather. i believe that in this time and age there are so many other, more cruelty-free options to dress ourselves than with the skin of an animal that had to be murdered for it. however, i also believe that making use of the material that is already given to us is better than letting it end up in landfill, polluting the environment further. therefore i’ve decided to reuse thrifted or deadstock leather, thus reintroducing it into the economic cycle, prolonging it’s lifetime. if leather is included in the garment, it’s always stated.
PRICE TRANSPARENCY
the price of each item includes (but is not limited to) the following costs: material, taxes, fees for transaction, website, domain and paypal, time for sourcing material, website maintenance, labour, work bts, pattern construction and testing, prototyping, adjusting, communication, pre- and post processing, ads, education in the field to improve skills, rent for studio and the fixed costs around it, photos, equipment, etc. etc.
i want to make more sustainable choices accessible for more people and therefore don’t pay myself a living wage with the pieces you can shop on mohlagé.com, yet the costs stated above need to be covered to ensure the continuation of this project. i also want to make people aware of the true cost of the labour required to make a garment/accessory that is not reflected in fast fashion items, yet seen as the standard in this time and age.
TAKING CARE OF YOUR GARMENTS
please see care instructions provided in your order. some garments require special detergent (wool/fine) or special cleaning only (leather). most garments need to be washed by hand, using cold or lukewarm water and as little detergent as possible to avoid unnecessarily polluting water. some, especially woollen garments must not be laundered with fabric softener to avoid damaging the fibres and should be laid flat to dry. please do not tumble dry any garment.
every garment is shipped out pre-washed, however a small possibility of shrinkage will always remain.

if you want to lend an item for a shooting or a special occasion, please get in touch via the contact form. small fees and/or a deposit may apply.
please note that all items on this website are made by my own hands. i don’t claim to be a professional, i simply feel the urge to give love back to our earth and help others do the same, with my skills, my possibilities and my time.
i always work to my best knowledge with my given resources, so please be aware that this takes some time. imperfections are desired, not discarded.
